The Perfect Beach

About Haad Yao

Haad Yao is a beautiful white sand beach that bends gently around the north west of Koh Phangan. It is on a Thai island famous for its pristine nature and great beaches. Among stiff competition, Haad Yao is called in Koh Phangan the perfect beach. That is because it combines all the ingredients for a perfect beach holiday

Natural Beauty

The soft white sand slopes gently to the the warm clear sea. The water is ideal for swimming. The white sand is flanked at one side by the inviting water and on the other by towering palms. Behind the beach is more nature rather than built up area with an intrusive road. The beach is also 1 km long. This makes it ideal for finding some space on the beach to sunbathe or enjoy a game of frisbee.

Snorkeling and Diving

There is a coral reef across the bay. It is about 400 meters off the coast. It is one of the best reefs off the coast of Koh Phangan and is good for both snorkeling and diving. There is plenty of marine life to see. There are also a few dive schools in Haad Yao that offer a range of scuba diving courses. Other nearby snorkeling and diving spots include Haad Salad and Koh Ma.

Haad Yao has plenty of beach front rooms to choose from. There are big resorts, boutique resorts as well as traditional Thai bungalows to choose from. Room prices start at about $16 to stay at Easy Life Bungalow and go up to $83 at Haad Yao Resort. There are rooms suitable for families, backpackers as well as those looking for luxury.
